The Houston Rockets defeated the Washington Wizards, 114-109. Jabari Smith Jr. recorded 20 points and 5 rebounds for the Rockets, while Alperen Sengun added 12 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks in the victory. Jordan Goodwin tallied a game-high 22 points, along with 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the Wizards. The Rockets finish the season at 22-60, while the Wizards finish at 35-47.

    Best news as a rockets fan is when we found out they were not picking up Slias option music to my ears.

    First things first got to get a capable head coach and add some veterans in the off season and letā€™s hope we land in the top 3 at least and go from there

    Sengun and Tari are the only 2 I saw consistently hustle (whole team pouting after turnovers and standing around), Jabari didnā€™t even really get a chance to shine (heā€™s kind of just there), ball handlers donā€™t seem to have the vision they should..

    I need the next coach to do what everyone is afraid to do and give Sengun the ball. I love Green as a second option, and if Scoot or Wemby are on the team then heā€™ll be a hell of a 3rd, but not a 1.

    Hope Rockets get Viktor. Viktor-Sengun-Green-Smith has dynasty potential. Then imagine Harden comes back next season to Rockets like rumored he will.

    I'm a Cleveland Cavs fan but have a lot of overall NBA knowledge. However I can't say I have seen the Rockets but a few times this year. I have seen a lot of partial games and highlights but not a ton of full games. With that said I will give my opinion then defer to any Rockets fan who might want to add to what I have said or disagree with me. Obviously Houston is all in on the Wembanyama sweepstakes or the second prize Scoot Henderson. With that said I think the Rockets are hard to figure out because to me this young core doesn't seem to be translating into wins. They need to find a way to get a star into Houston rather than the waiting game. I think they need to go the Cavs route rather than Orlando route. For me Orlando can continue to build with youth I see a lot of upside and translation into wins if you give Banchero Wagner Fultz, Carter and so on another pick or two and continued improvement. My opinion this core of Green, Smith, Sengun, Porter simply giving them another pick and time isn't going to translate to the playoffs. They need to go the Cavs route take your young core Mobley, Garland, Allen, Okoro and bring a superstar into the mix with those guys Donovan Mitchell and all of a sudden you are in the playoffs and a desirable team to play and there is optimism for more winning in the next couple years. If you get the first or second pick it's almost impossible to give up but beyond that I would start thinking about a trade or some sort of way to bring in an all star caliber player to go along with these young guys and speed up the timetable. Then again I could be wrong maybe maybe they develop super fast. I actually like Jalen Green a lot but for some reason I don't see him being the best player on a really good team. Sengun is interesting and seems to have a high ceiling. Smith it's still a wait and see process.
