Interesting, but we are more or less strapped to the luxury tax cap and the last thing we need rn is another expiring player.
If Indiana couldn’t pay him what he wanted, no way we can.
I would love to try and clear up our forward logjam and get him but him being an expiring just complicates our offseason next year even more.
Relatively easy to match his 19m, but then you have another FA next year.
I’d prefer him over Trent long term based on likely $$ but rather Herro than both

He be a great pickup that would help out our 3pt shooting immensely, if you could do a deal with Boucher + Young as the salary that would be great because you get off Bouchers money next year (10.8M)
The problem then becomes that while you got off Bouchers money, you now have Gary, Pascal, OG, Precious (RFA), and Hield all being FAs in 2024.
If they are serious about competing (obviously not a title contender) Hield would be a great pickup.
I’m all in on Hield. Dude is a stud. He’ll mentor Dick and the young guys.

I’d absolutely love Buddy Hield on this team. Would add much needed spacing for Pascal/Scottie/OG but I just don’t see how we’d get a deal done and then pay him what he wants by next offseason
We need shooting around Scottie and Pascal. But I can’t see a path to getting this done that makes sense for Indy or Toronto
