In this podcast I am joined by Clutchfans himself Dave Hardesty to discuss his new article detailing how the Rockets front office ignored Kevin Porter’s bad behavior for years. #nba #podcast #houstonrockets #jalengreen

  1. Fire Stone because he enabled his actions. There should be a new GM to guide us to the next chapter.
We heard all the news, just wrote it off as rumors and hate.

  2. It will be a lot clearer after this season if Stone needs to go. His future depends heavily on the performance of the team he built from scratch. If our win total is in the twenties again I would start searching for a more competent, proven GM immediately.

  3. Second point: don’t give up a first rd pick for KPJ. I would rather just cut him. They made the mistake of trusting him, so they should suck it up and take it.

  4. How can ya'll not grasp that Stone and the others put their faith on a young guy and gave him the chance to change. This is so backwards thinking! Ya'll are demonizing Stone for giving the kid a chance to be a star. WTF twisted minds do you people have. Jesus! Have some empathy and heart. You should be happy Rockets org gave the kid all the resources to be a better person. WTF

  5. The Rockets seem to be transitioning from an organization where the GM calls the shots to one where the coach has more power. I think a lot of the Rockets problems do stem from Stone's lawyer mentality – you need a "basketball" person calling the shots and the Rockets haven't had that in a while. The legal stuff is needed at contract time and to keep the books balanced and maximize the profits on paper but that is not the way to be the best. If you're good on the court(or at least entertaining) you should be profitable in Houston. Managing the KPJ mess is Stone's problem – if he doesn't handle it well it could cost him his job. In this case his "just keep quiet" response is probably the safest strategy – not sure it is the best strategy. I do give him credit for at least exploring a trade – even if he knew it was a lost cause. It reassures the fan base that they doing something. To tell the truth there isn't much to be done until the situation matures(investigations and court appearances etc.). It may work out for the best if KPJ was going to be a distraction plus more playing time for Amen has to be a good thing.

  6. What? Why? He's done everything in his control to the best of his abilities given the circumstances.
