Orlando with the best young core in all of sports and both of the leading players are off excellent FIBA one of which was the finals MVP and gold medalist winner. Orlando lost some of their tankers and brought in valuable rookie or veteran role players and just naturally look better. Plus they have one of the deepest benches in the league that was continuously giving teams problems last season and have brought many games back from losses. Unique Starters and bench skillsets and physicals + lots of flexibility on both ends of the floor + high potential and high energy = Unstoppable momentum and a coaches nightmare.
Atlanta with top 4 PG Trae and top 5 defensive guard Dejounte and a decent deep bench with many notable names. Atlanta also made some changes maybe for the better and with the extra time to gel, the Trae+ Murray combo may be deadly. Pure Offense + Pure flair + momentum shifting ability = Juggernauts that cause teams to collapse.
Charlotte top 8 best PG Lamelo Ball (honestly think some nights he looks like top 5/6) returning with health and many winning pieces that made them a playin team 2 seasons ago coming back. The gang is back (maybe some players shouldn’t be back though) but a healthy Charlotte + the #2 pick Brandon Miller who is somehow getting underrated after being the best player in college last season, will not be an easy team to overlook. Also Mark Williams is a monster and I have always said it. Guy will complete them. Solid bench + Solid starters + high potential if healthy = Dangerous if healthy
Miami adding Dame to Jimmy 2 top 15 players in the league with Bam a well established AS Big and defensive anchor. Good supporting cast (well depending what they can keep but Miami has shown the ability to take raw gems and polish them to diamonds). The best coach in the league in ES and just pure clutchness when it comes to playoffs, 2 consecutive years of being the runner ups in the finals. Maimi is going all in for a ring and to finally take the leap. They will be the team in this division with the most eyes early on. Leadership + Skills + Culture = Potential Dynasty if all is right.
Washington is the current odd man out in this group as they are clearly now starting a rebuild, however I wouldn’t count them out also. They have some well known players that are itching to show that they can lead a team on their own and not be the shadow behind better known teammates. JP and KK can establish themselves once again and make Washington their own. Tyus, JP, KK, Gallinari(?), Gafford, is interesting and they have some known bench players who can hold their own. JP could return to form and make an AS case, and Washington may not be in a rebuild at all.
High Variance + popoff potential + decent team construction = Jokers with 2 masks.
And all of these teams are hungry (I know every team is supposed to be hungry) but the storylines in the SE really paint a strong level of competition and striving forward not backwards with all of these teams having decent amounts of young talents or old vets both in perfect synergy for high levels of competition.

If someone can fuck someone over to make money there’s a 99.9% chance they’d do it. But also like trading happens all the time in sports. This shouldn’t surprise anyone. How many Haslem’s or Kobe’s are there that get to spend their entire career in one place? It’s extremely rare.
