A great discussion on the Dame rumours and what it would mean for the team going forward.

Was messing around on the trade machine after seeing Gambo (reliable Suns reporter) say he thinks a Dame trade is imminent and that a deal around Nurkic for Ayton could happen, and tried to see if we could slip in as a fourth team and snag Herro. The Suns need forwards and we know we have an abundance of those. Came up with this:
Raps get: Herro
Heat get: Dame, Little
Suns get: Nurkic, Otto, Boucher
Blazers get: Ayton, Jovic, Jaquez, Lowry, Thad, 2 Heat FRP, 1-2 Raptors SRPs (maybe a first but know we’re not really in a position to trade firsts)
*(Note you could swap Lowry for Robinson and remove Little, depends on if the Blazers value the flexibility of Lowry’s expiring over Robinson, or would rather just keep Little)*
I know you’re probably thinking we’re making out like bandits in this trade (and we are) but the thing with multi team deals is that it doesn’t matter if one team is robbing the rest. What matters is if every team is happy with the return. Recall that the Cavs were able to land Jarrett Allen in a 4 team deal with just a Bucks FRP. So lets look at why every team does this:
Heat: Obviously they get Dame. Could see them being a bit stingy on giving up both Jovic and Jaquez, might only be one of them.
Suns: Get depth (3 players for 1) which is something they desperately need. Also some more medium sized contracts to use in future trades.
Blazers: Get Ayton (a young big who fits their young core), 1-2 young players (depending on if the Heat give up one or both of Jovic/Jaquez), a couple expirings (if they give up Little for Lowry), and some draft capital.
Raptors: Add a dynamic scoring guard who fits really well next to Scottie essentially for filler and picks. Yes you give up some draft capital but this also makes it easier to trade Gary, and you can get some draft capital back in a trade like that
I don’t think this is a clear yes for any team other than us. But I also don’t think it’s a clear no for them, and could be close. Feels like a framework that could work but needs some tweaking.

I like most of these pods but this one was a hard listen.
