Randall and RJ Bb games could benefit from being around Melo
Any backup PF for us will have to bring more to the team than Josh Hart, Divicenzo, IQ, Grimes and RJ because it will limit those players minutes and create a bigger problem. If we do find a backup PF that proves to be more valuable than those players mentioned above then we'll be crying for that backup to get more minutes over Randle and that will not happen and create more problems…I hope this puts this backup PF convo to rest…

Let sleeping dogs lie. Melo ain't coming out of retirement. Melo's Knicks tenure was riddled with bad front office management. Knicks had him for 7 years. That's enough time to build around one of the best offensive players of our generation, regardless of how many assets were given up to trade for him. Hell, Sean Marks rebuilt the Nets with young talent and draft capital after Billy King's mess in just 3 years! If Melo had a competent front office like we have now during his tenure, who knows where he could have taken the Knicks? Regular ECF contention and maybe a finals appearance.
