Blazers and Heat fans can agree that Barry Jackson is clinically retarded.

I still think this is all leverage and Dame ends up on the Heat or Portland. But, if not, I don’t know what to say 😂

My potential copium take on Barry’s tweets today is that if Miami was trying to get leverage with Portland, this is probably what they would be telling him. If Miami were openly acting desperate, Portland would know they could get all of Miami’s assets.

The more likely scenario is that he’s right and Miami actually isn’t interested because of Dame’s contract and the luxury tax implications. Hopefully Droppingdimes gives a real update soon

    Bro…please…no more…let this end already!

Heat had to come back to their mouthpiece and tell Portland they not budging 😂

  8. I said it on Twitter and I’ll say it here

Making the finals was a curse in disguise. It gave the fo a false sense of security in thinking that marginal and “internal improvements” are enough to get this team over the top. They really think a 34 yo jimmy as the leading scorer is enough to win a championship

No need to force anything these type of deals take time

Run it back nightmares haunting me again.

Riley saw Mitchell isn’t signing and said run it back 😭

Time to rinse and repeat this with Giannis, then Luka after

  13. I‘ve said it hundreds of times and I will again:

I was a go for Dame guy since 2016. always felt like he would have been such a nice fit in Miami. Used to go for him everytime in 2K.

That said, I‘m also one of the guys who‘s really tired of the „no news-news“ and tored of this story arc, I just want it to be over with.

Anyway: Dame would be a great piece for Miami still BUT: money gets locked with Jimmy, Dame and Bam on the team. Depleting Miami assets to get Dame will have us rely on the big 3. we JUST lost players we developed and some people here suggest to sell the farm except Jimmy and Bam. If we do that, we have literally no developed players.
Yes Miami is good at finding diamonds in the rough. But most take 2-3 years to pan out.

If we‘re in win now mode, we need players that are serviceable and enduring around our potential big3. We have no Gabe, no Strus, and hypothetically, no Caleb.

We‘re in a shit position right now to go all in on a star. Yes we have Cain who‘s development has been going along nicely, but most others might take another year.

However, we‘re in no position to wait another year or two, Dame and Jimmy won‘t get younger.

Also, they‘re both decently injury prone. Selling the farm with no backup from our development system is goibg to be a problem. Plus, given how long this is taking, the vet min options and roster fillers are running out.

We risk running into a similar situation to the Nets: a big 3 that won‘t make it healthy to the playoffs and with no depth.
