Memes aside I can’t imagine it’s a very easy choice. I think he had non-basketball reasons to get his French citizenship and passport, but Cameroon is actually doing surprisingly well right now and is entering the Olympic qualifiers. I could be wrong but the qualifiers, however, are in early 2024 so I don’t think Embiid or Siakam will be able to participate in them, nor is it a sure thing that they actually end up in Paris.

Embiid to France would be dangerous but honestly I can’t care about this. I don’t think dudes a Sixer if this season is wasted again so I can’t worry about where he’s going internationally.
