> The Toronto Raptors have convinced numerous teams around the league that their interest in trading for Lillard is genuine.

> The uncertainty at this point stems more from gauging Toronto’s true willingness to push all the way forward with its Lillard pursuit when it’s believed that the All-Star guard, behind the scenes, remains so resistant to the idea of becoming a Raptor.

Just the rumor of this out there is good for Portland. Teams need to put up their best offers. I have a feeling Miami is holding back. Raptors could put together a much better offer if they really want to. I just want this over.

But guys, Heat fans REALLY want Dame. How could we do this to them? We should be thankful for the opened bag of potato chips they wanna trade us. As long as they and Dame are happy. That’s the point of a franchise like ours, right?

Shit Kawhi was resistant enough to bolt after being there for 1 year and winning a ring. Dame has 4 years left on his contract, Toronto really just might not give a shit how resistant he is to playing there

Better make a good deal if you want dame Miami 🙂

Toronto wants to keep OG *and* Barnes. That’s the hangup. Offering Grady, Boucher, GTJ, Otto, multiple picks.

Portland potentially would net Ayton from Suns as well

If it’s not Barnes, I’m not sure one year of OG is worth it. If we’re able to extend him sure, but OG’s contract doesn’t seem like a good piece for a rebuilding Blazers.

Even if they don’t include Barnes, Some combo of Dick achewa koloko OG picks is still better than heat offer (not saying we get all that but all those are forwards/center prospects)

This whole “dame will ask out” shit is so funny. Okay? He’s not not gonna play. He’s under contract for 4 years. He’s not sitting out.

They don’t own their 1st round pick over the next 3 seasons

I’m worried this sub is going to be very disappointed a week from now

  11. Wonder of Toronto is still looking to move Pascal. They could swing those assets to us, plus Dick and picks (but please no dick pics). Hunter, Capella, and Dick for a start maybe? If they are worried about losing Pascal, I bet it’d be nice to move him for someone under contract the next few years who’s friends with the other guy they might lose.

Is that the juiciest nugget from the article? I know it’s frowned upon to copy/paste too much, but anything else you could summarize for us?

I don’t know what happens, I just want the best possible return in the moment before training camp and if shit isn’t there, take it into the season. Other than that. Best possible offer. I would also say the only thing we owe dame is to not trade him to a shit team. Doesn’t look like that anyways, just saying

Toronto won’t give up OG or Barnes unless they are sure that Miami is ready to scrape the bottom of the barrel.

Going to be honest – headlines like these do feel more like media leverage from the Blazers.

If this was truly the case I feel like Raptors would’ve made their move by now.

I wouldn’t be too excited. My theory is raptors and trailblazers FO have a good relationship and they’re letting them use raptors “interest” as leverage against miami. Meaning if miami thinks toronto is offering a package around scottie, miami might raise their offer. But in reality i think pat riley would call that bluff. And dame stays. /(or we bite the bullet and get fleeced)

Whether this is true or not, people are underestimating Toronto.

Dame, Trent, OG, Siakim, and Poeltl is a damn fine line up.
