lol I'm tired of this Dame Lillard talk. Sure trade for him if you have the chance to, even at his age he's still better than anyone currently on this roster but he doesn't make this team a contender even in the East. There's a reason why he's 33 and ONLY made ONE conference finals appearance. Dude thinks he's a superstar like Kawhi or KD who actually turn any team into a legit title contender and can at least bring a team to the finals. I'd say he probably retires by age 35 or 36, he has a few more years in his prime if he can stay healthy but after that I think we'll see some serious regression. I think he's fooled us into thinking he's better than he is because of his highlight reel.
TBH I'd rather see what we can do in this Scottie Barnes era, he's only 22 and has so much potential to impact games with his defence and playmaking ability at his size. It's time we build around him with shooters and slashers.

-this trade only decreases Portlands wins by 2 for a team that is going into developmental years. It’s not guard heavy like Miami.

The prices being thrown about for Damian Lilliard, and his age, makes me feel like this is a move that will solidify Toronto as a perennial 4th/5th seed, not challenging for the Larry O'Brien, and not in contention for a lottery pick.

B) Dame might not be happy at first but the dude is a PRO. He doesnt pout, he doesnt make excuses, he’ll do the same thing he always has done (even when he’s stuck with terrible Blazers rosters) and thats show up, come prepared to do the work and lead by example. He’ll kill it for you guys.
