Think he must have really impressed.
TJD is gonna be to James Wiseman what Brock Purdy is to Trey Lance, you heard it here first
Can’t wait to see him play. Rookie of the Year for sure.
Translation: he played 4 years of college ball so we don’t have to waste time teaching him the fundamentals.
Kerr gets, sometimes understandably, relentlessly criticized for never playing young guys but with him, it’s always been about whether or not the player can play fundamentally sound basketball. If he can, he’ll get run even if he’s young. It’s just the last several seasons, the young guys Kerr has been given have been all raw potential, very little fundamentals, which naturally led to bench warming because chasing titles leaves little room for on court learning of fundamentals (which to be clear, isn’t the same as on court reps to get used to the NBA game).
Makes me wonder whether he will get more minutes than JK and Moody based on fundamentals alone.
TJD rookie season expectations should be about what Jordan Bell’s rookie season was. What’s funny is that people forget that Bell could pass and the similarities between these two in general:

Hoping that TJD’s mentality sets him apart from Bell.
