[Wolstat] The Trail Blazers have “long coveted” OG Anunoby. Anunoby, Gradey D*ck, one first-round pick, and one first-round pick swap would presumably be the main trade assets the Raptors offer up for Damian Lillard.

> OG Anunoby is a premier two-way role player with designs on being seen as more than that. It probably can’t happen in Toronto, if Scottie Barnes or Pascal Siakam are around, but it can in Portland.

> The Blazers have long coveted Anunoby, though he’s heading for unrestricted free agency and has little incentive to extend now when he can get much more by waiting until the summer.

> If Portland gets the chance to talk to Anunoby about his intentions, he makes sense as a centrepiece of a deal, along with Gradey Dick — the 13th pick of the most recent draft — and something like a 2026 Raptors first-round pick (Toronto already owes a protected first to San Antonio in 2024, so can’t deal one then or in 2025), a 2027 pick-swap option for Portland and Precious Achiuwa or Christian Koloko, plus salary filler (Thaddeus Young, Otto Porter Jr., or even Gary Trent Jr. back to Portland or to a third team like Phoenix, with Deandre Ayton going to the Blazers). That’s the type of deal that could satisfy both sides.

  1. Why would the Blazers value Scottie over OG if they’re going all in.

  2. ThinkSoftware

Why the f*ck do we have to censor Gradey Dick?

  3. SquimJim

Damn, someone really gonna get Dame for cheap

  4. odontodoc

Portland just needs to tell OG he can be Kawhi 2.0 and it’s done.

  5. Benotheking

So that’s just an idea offer that would satisfy the Blazers , but I don’t think the Raptors will do that. No one knows what the Raptors are offering.

  6. Vfbcollins

Won’t someone PLEASE trade for our superstar?

  7. spacefish420

Are we gonna see Gradey’s name get censored for the rest of his career?

  8. KingNephew

Blazers gave Jerami Grant $150 million just so they could….get a similar tier player in OG?

  9. Apprehensive-Tea-39

I kinda expected a better offer tbh

Giving up OG instead of Barnes is wild, I’m sorry. Happy to eat crow if Scottie turns out to be more of a foundational piece than he’s appeared thus far, but at this point in time I don’t see how Toronto views him as more impactful to winning basketball than OG.

Also poor Gradey having his last name censored lol such a bizarre choice given, just as an example that immediately popped into my head, I’m pretty sure no one has ever censored Dick Vitale’s name when he’s been referenced in a tweet.

Raptors send out their 2028 first with that and it’s an OK deal. But the more time goes by the less likely it’s going to happen. Way too many moving parts and that’s all with Dame still clearly not wanting to play in Toronto, realistically.

The Blazers are not gonna trade for OG if OG does not agree to an extension; the Raptors are seemingly not even sure they want to move OG, and without OG the Raptors offer just is not good enough.

Is this a better offer than Miami’s? OG is an impending free agent that wants a max contract. If he’s a real max player, I get it but otherwise, this just seems like a weird trade preference for Portland.

It gets even weirder on the Toronto side unless they’ve already made up their mind that OG isn’t worth a max and will be losing him for next summer regardless

  13. Folk-Herro

But Miami needs to put their best 7 assets, just say you’re not talking to heat

  14. LoWE11053211

Is this that much better than heat package?

  15. OpenArse1984

I wonder if a lottery pick has ever been drafted, played summer league, then been traded before pre-season.

  16. obiouslymag1c

The * makes it so much worse lmao.

  17. Dreamlion_Inc

I’m still unsure if OG is as good as Toronto keeps making him out to be

  18. GorillaGlueWookie

they getting a poo return no matter who they deal with lol

  19. msizzle344

An expiring contract as the headliner for Dame is kind of yikes. I mean, blazers in a bad spot. That offer is also, kind of trash. Better than Herro and 2 picks, but not by much honestly. Weird they would’ve give up Barnes so they can actually try to win now. They’re trading for Dame and they’re not even going to be a favorite, I wouldn’t even say contenders.

  20. Not a good offer given the overpay that OG will command

  21. notmasterrahool

Multi team trade and they can end up with Dick and Ass(Lowry).

  22. Due_Connection179

This is better than “anything the Heat can offer” 😂

  23. mclairy

People calling this cheap vastly underrate how much the end of Dame’s contract is a colossal negative value for teams on the receiving end

  24. calartnick

Getting OG is such a stupid move for this team. God Portland needs an owner

  25. ktdotnova

Trash offer… OG is a role player at best. What’s Gradey’s projection as a player? And a first? Yeah I’m hanging up the phone if I’m the Blazers.

  26. Losalou52

Talk about positional redundancy and just a tiny roster.

    PG- scoot/Ant

    SG- Ant/Shae/Dick

    SF-OG/Shae/Dick

    PF- Grant/OG

    C- ?

Not a single one of those guys is over 6’8”. And Grant averaged 4.1 rebounds per game last year and OG averaged 5.0.

Ant, Grant, and OG (when extended) are all going to be negative asset contracts.

  27. PooperJackson

Should have coveted him back when you had Dame and wanted to win.

  28. pokexchespin

don’t they covet og to play with lillard

  29. okitsmelol123

    “presumably”

So this dudes just guessing. Why does this shit get posted?

  30. Viciouscauliflower21

That’s…honestly not substantially better than the Miami offer

  31. ArchangelDamon

if this offer was from heat

everyone would be extremely offended here

  32. rudebwoy100

Terrible trade, OG could leave in a year.

  33. Caesar21Octavoian

blazers fans trying to sell themselves on a late lottery pick one first round pick (that will end up being outside of the lottery) and an expiring player tgat doesn’t fit their timeline….
