I’ll be 💯percent honest. We as Portland fans still and always will have love for Dame. But Miami fans will always be delusional about Tyler Herro’s worth. Herro was not nearly as valuable to us, OR the rest of this league apparently as he is to Miami. He’s a damn insult to the whole Dame trade!! I personally hated that he was part of Miami’s offer. But if I’m being honest, if Dame wanted to be there we as fans would’ve swallowed the trade if Miami wouldn’t have lowballed. Had they just offered their max offer from the beginning, Dame would be heading to Miami today or even earlier. But the fact that Pat tried to lowball and offer what we as Blazer fans considered an insult, plus NOT including the likes of Robinson, Lowery, Jovic AND Jacquez (not just one of them) which is what a lot of Miami fans were trying again to lowball us, you would’ve had Dame and everyone would’ve been okay with it. But all the chatter from Miami fans about “are we giving too much away” comments really made me root for ANY other team BUT Miami to get him. I mean hey, Portland isn’t going to win for a while, if at all so it only mattered to us to see Dame still get a championship. If it happened to be Miami alot of us were good with that. But Miami got too cocky thinking they were gonna get Dame and keep most of they’re better players and leave us with Herro??? Herro????? 🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️

I like what the Blazers got back. Ayton was better fit than Herro. Holiday can get us more than what Herro could get. the picks could be really good depending on how things develop. We also got rid of Nurkic's contract which is a major plus.

Cronin now makes GM #2 I would never do business with. after looking at the details, Phoenix got the biggest W out of the trade. they just got depth. and when it comes to the picks, thats really no better than any picks Miami could have given. so it's definitely not a better package.
