It’ll be real nice to be able to root for Dame to get a ring now.

Now that’s it’s over. I’m going to miss him. I was twelve when he got drafted. How crazy is that? Hope he gets his ring man.

CJ’s player tribune was pretty emotional. Damian’s goodbye will rip my heart out

This is actually a very sweet statement.

Been through the stages of grief after the trade request, wouldve been ticked off a little if he did go to Miami, but I’m shocked and honestly happy he went to Milwaukee, I think it works out far better than Miami.

The weight is lifted off our shoulders and we can be excited for our future and cheer for Dame now. My first NBA jersey, 10 years of HOF play, hope he’s able to get the ring with Giannis.

Rooting for Lillard AND having a good young core was the best timeline out of a dame trade. Gonna miss this man and excited for the future.

Sad to see Dame go. I started actively watching basketball because of him, the way he handled himself, and the bond he had with CJ and Nurk.

Bummed with the way it all happened and the sour taste it left in my and other people’s mouths, but nothing but excited to see him get a ring with the Freak

  8. He’s in a great situation on a team I want to see win again. It’s a win win to me

I thought he was going to request a trade to Miami if he went anywhere else

incoming chris haynes piece coming within the next 3 weeks. the “what happened behind the scenes” piece

Man it would’ve been nice if they would’ve found a way to let him play 1 more game in Portland and treated it like Kobe’s last game. 100 point outing to close out the Dame era.

Dame and Giannis are going to be a problem and I’m happy for the way this worked out. Anywhere but Miami, honestly. No ill will for him asking out. Wish it hadn’t gone down the way it did.

I don’t root for other teams, therefore I could care less if he wins a ring in Milwaukee.

When you see Dame explicitly say he’s excited for a trade that isn’t to Miami, it really speaks to how his agent was the real villain of the breakup.

I was stoked when reading the trade announcement. This just crushed me. Thankfully I’m working from home today so no one can see me getting emotional over a fucking basketball player 🥲

I can’t believe I was lucky enough to see his last game in a blazers jersey courtside in Utah last year. Even got a thumbs up in wamrups. He seemed pretty happy to hang out with some Weber State friends/coaches pregame. Such a class act even tho he’s tarnished his legacy with how it all went down.

I was hoping he would go to milwaukie I just didn’t think it was possible.

  18. JarenAnd

But but I thought he would request a trade? Clown ass agent.

  19. I can happily cheer for Dame and the bucks. Go get your ring.

You know, I cannot be happier knowing Dame is going to Milwaukee. I mean, talk about the coolest dude who knows how to support small markets! Damn, I really hope Dame and Giannis win the 2023-24 NBA championship!

Probably trying to get CJ to write his farewell for him.
