I don’t think it will happen. Warriors have a defensive-oriented guard already in GP2.
I think what they want is a caretaker/playmaker to stop the bleeding with turnovers and careless play when Steph is off the court, aka the opposite of what Jordan Poole was for them last season. Paul fits the role better than Jrue. Veteran playmaker who can run the offense without turning the second unit into (-) fest.
Jrue is a good player in a vacuum, but I don’t think it’s a roster fit, especially if they’re looking for Moody, Kuminga, or similar in exchange.
CP3 > Jrue

Be real – Jrue would make us ridiculous. Steph, Wiggs, Dray, Jrue plus Klay or Loon – our defense would be incredible and Jrue has a bit of game on offense… That trade would have to be CP plus a kid (Moody? JK?), but man we’d be very very tough.
