Bring back Jrue Holiday



Keith Pompey says the 76ers have to do everything in their power to acquire Jrue Holiday in a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers. Holiday would be a suitable replacement for disgruntled point guard James Harden. Plus, this would be a homecoming for Holiday, who was drafted by the Sixers in 2009.     I think hed be a great fit at pg for us. He can be a defender plus facilitate, and hes still gonna get his 15-20 a game. We would have holiday n pat bev defending the perimeter, and embiid, bball, an harris defending down low? Then let harris come off the books and find a star wing next off season.

    Any trade involving Maxey is a panic move. I'm out on moving young players for players 33 and 34. This team has to begin to replenish their young talent and if Embiid plays in the playoffs like he does in the regular season, this team has a chance to beat anybody. The problem is Embiid shrinks, his scoring decreases. Stop with the panic moves. James Harden was a panic move and we see how that worked out.

    U can't bring Jrue until around the trade deadline. There are rules on trading a player who was just traded. Now Portland can release him and we can pick him up.. but there is no getting him this weekend lol

    It will cost a pick but at least there won’t be an albatross max contract in the future that Harden represented. Morey took a gamble at the time when he traded for James. The reality is Jrue is a more coveted player right now than James will ever be. It will be a shame if Morey doesn’t make this move quick and drags a circus into the season.

    I’d like to see morey trade for hield and holiday…..lol get rid of pj, furkan and harden. That will give them a real shot. Or maybe get holiday this season and Zach Lavine next season too alongside embiid and maxey

    And in terms of holidays defending, he couldn’t defend jimmy butler at all in the playoffs and he’s known as another playoff choker and his numbers drop in the post season. I don’t know if I want to spend cap on him for two years, that being said he could retire next year or we can trade him if it doesn’t work out.

    I'm not as concerned of the Harden distraction as Keith. When Simmons did this it literally had no effect on the team's performance. It actually brought the team together more. I can see the same thing happening because you also have guys in contract years that will be trying to ball out. Maxey and Tobi will most likely the best seasons of their careers. Oubre on a vet min is gonna want to get a nice contract
