Ben Simmons for better or worse (definitely better) is going to be crucial to the Nets upcoming season given his unique playmaking skills coupled with his elite defense .
The fact he's 100 percent healthy and has no restrictions playing five on five coupled with the fact he's added 10 pounds of muscle are great signs he took his rehab very seriously and wants to have a big bounce back season. Now it's time to see the results…..
If Ben shows he’s back to his old self the Nets should look to trade Claxton for a Strech big like Myles Turner so they can play 5out. Ben in a 5out system surrounded by shooters/Scorers would be able to attack the basket at will and could easily avg a 18pt triple double and raise this teams playoff capability.

It was refreshing to hear the perspective of Sharif Phillips-Keaton. He was the voice of reason on the LON panel.
The capacity to gain an accurate and deep intuitive understanding of the roster, by the coaching staff, would be a necessary ingredient before it's operated on by any process or system. Time and patience are imperative. Since Jacque Vaughn and his staff have the task of molding, developing, and incorporating players into the main team, their input will be paramount. One of the most important offseason accomplishment is having a strategy going forward. I can't do a better job than Marks and JV in outlining that in their past press conferences. One of the things we're not going to do is to constantly turn the roster over with trades and acquisitions as Adam Armbrecht of LON suggest and expect to achieve the team chemistry and cohesion that we need. The upcoming season is a new chapter with a new coaching staff and players, It would be unfair to predict the Nets future success based on last season's template and especially before the season begin.. Building a successful team is going to take an unpredictable amount of time, if its done methodically. We'll do training camp and evaluate. We'll do preseason and evaluate. By the time we get to the regular season, we'll probably have many of our questions answered. We wont skip any steps. It could, potentially, cause a setback. Hopefully Nets fans will try to enjoy the process and be patient. We'll eventually get where we want to be.
If everything is perfect. Simmons is like 2018 Ben Simmons. Claxton making another leap. Mikal and Cam J in their prime. Cam Thomas plays defense and be a bit of a playmaker…. Nets have an all defensive bench. That’s a 50 win season. If everything comes out perfectly.
