Makes sense, we got worse on paper losing Bruce while they both added superstar pieces

Some of the biggest questions that I now have as a nugitz fan.

    1. How do we match up against both Boston and Milwaukee?
    1. Do we have enough defensive power to contain Dame+Giannis+Middleton?
    2. Do we have enough defensive power to contain Jrue+Tatum+Brown+KP?
    3. I know we won’t be facing both of those teams and only one can come out of the east, but in my mind both teams present entirely unique challenges to the Nugz. The Bucks will have a fucking SICK dribble hand-off with Giannis and Dame as well as pick-n-roll. The Celtics will have basically (in theory) offense from every position on the floor.
    4. How much does Boston letting Robert Williams go hurt their ability to guard Denver? The only actual center on the roster remaining is closing in on 40 years old soon.
    2. Who (realistically) should be the betting favorite for the chip? Who should be the media favorite for the chip? Why? And how much should the Nuggets chip and proving it in the playoffs earn them in that discussion?
    3. What kind of growth (and from whom) do the Nuggets need or would they significantly benefit from this year? MPJ off-the-dribble initiation? Christian Braun 3-point shooting? Defensive upgrades? P-watt DPOY???

    5. Who is the (ACTUAL) biggest threat in the West? I’ve of course seen the suns thrown around like confetti at a carnival, but most of us have identified the obvious weaknesses of their starting 5 and lack of depth, as well as flawed playstyle and redundant talent. Is it Lakers? Warriors? Someone else? Who poses a REAL threat in the West?
    6. What do the Nuggets NEED that they do not currently have?
    7. What are the biggest concerns for the Nuggets heading into the season?
    8. Can MPJ make a meaningful leap in productivity? Can he be incorporated more into the offense instead of being a corner shooter? It’s OBVIOUS that his talent and skills are being wasted to me, but perhaps others don’t believe in him for some reason. Is Coach Malone capable of expanding the offense to include more actions/shots for MPJ?
    1. This is maybe the thing that pisses me off the most about Nuggets fans and the system of offense. Half of the fans of this team shit on MPJ for almost literally no reason at all. We don’t win the finals without him, or at least game 5 for sure, and if you can’t see that I’m not sure which game you watched. His talent and potential FAR exceed the role he’s been boxed into, and given the talent and skill upgrades of the teams in the east at the top, I think *especially* makes sense to see how much we can incorporate him and utilize his talent.
    9. Any other questions/concerns y’all have?

I don’t know, the Celtics traded a lot of their depth. They’re relying on Horford and Porzingis to be available, but the former is near the end of his career and the latter has been injury prone his whole career. I’m not sure this is the best move for the Celtics, tbh.

Man I would love to see them drop more before i place my nuggets finals bets

Wait to place bets until about December. I have a feeling we’re coasting the first half of the year, we probably won’t look good and the other odds favorites will all be great regular season teams. I bet we drop to +1200 by December unless I’m wrong and we come out going for the denver regular season wins record

I know some people get upset if you de-mythologize Vegas, but if I remember correctly, the Nuggets were never favored to win last year until they beat the Suns. Even then after the Nuggets swept the Lakers, the Celtics briefly overtook them as favorites after they came back from 0-3 to force game 7.
