5-7: I’ll take the optimistic side only because the better teams do take time to get into shape and round into form. I think a lot of teams will also take the Nets lightly to start the year.
We saw the Jazz jump teams last year before rounding into reality. I think the Nets can sort of do the same here

You got clax and Ben to help on Giannis, and Mikal can lock up dame. Middleton on cam Johnson will be interesting but we have the pieces.

Lucky to be 5-5 I think – only clear “should win” is the Hornets. Two games against Boston, Miami and Milwaukee are real long shots. Have a solid chance against Washington and Chicago – both teams have talent but in disarray. Clippers and Mavericks are “could win if things break right” games.
