A lot of these guys think they have way more pull than they do because they played some good to great ball at some point. The truth is, unless you somehow have cross over mainstream success and can make money another way, you’re only as good as your last season. The average age is 26 and Harden is 34. Do the math. It’s a young man’s game and he isn’t getting any younger. Why would the league bend over backwards for someone not willing to play ball, literally and figuratively.
