Its funny that all these "analysts" point out issues in the Mavs offense as if that's the problem. Things like "playing faster" would help the Mavs, yet the problems have always been the defensive side, with or without Luka Doncic on the court.
The Mavs set up to allow the mid range and try to defend the 3 aggressively.
The problem is that the Mavs allow easy cuts in the mid post and that puts tons of pressure on any big that plays. Luka is slow to react in these situations but he isn't the only one. Luka defends more like a 4 and usually stays on the weak side of any given opposition attack. It also allows him to grab relatively easy defensive rebounds.
The problem with the mavs last year was they gave up their key defensive players during the middle of the season to get Kyrie ..The Mavs are going to be a very good defensive team this year ..Combine that with Mavs premier offense and they will be back in the playoff hunt .🎉
