thank god a team finally stood up and did the right thing. Sucks it had to come at Dames expense but lets not kid ourselves here his loyalty was the big bag not just Portland.
The most underrated part of the trade is that the Blazers roster is pretty complete as is. You can run a proper team rather than playing Houston And-1 ball. Verno was a bit too quick to want to hoard draft picks (as the media loves to do) but having a balanced roster can help the young players build winning habits.
Cronin still overpaid for Jeremy Grant, don't forget about that.
Good for you Blazers fans 💪 rebuilds can really suck or they can be really really exciting, especially if we get off to a good start. As a Pacers fan I'm stoked with how ours has turned out and happy to see what you guys have ended up to work with. And God only knows what those pics could turn out to be. I lived in Portland for a couple of months doing a work project and I love the city.

Don't think you can play Ayton and Rob Williams at the same time in this era: you can't have 3/5 on the court poor or non from outside. But the point of the Blazers at this point is to grow the young guys, not to contend. So who cares if they lose this year? Or they move one. Doesn't matter. Things look great for the Blazers. Great couple trades. (Ayton needs to rediscover his motivation.)
The truth is almost no one is worth a supermax contract and your team is better off spreading the salary around.

This has been an incredible time being a Blazers fan. The only thing that’ll make me happier is if we can flip Brogdon properly and if we fire Billups. Besides that I’ve been very impressed with Cronin standing his ground and getting the best out of the situation for the Blazers.
