  1. This guy here is something else talking about "allowing fouls" and "not fouling" geeez

What that FT stat shows what we have been knowing for years:
    1. Lakers always get favorable calls when they are successful are have a chance at succeeding. Them and Boston get hella calls because they are the media darling like the Patriots during their run
    2. LeBron has always gotten help by the league and the refs. This is UNDENIABLE
3.Refs hate Steph and GS because they expose the false narratives of LeBron. Ive never seen a superstar and dynastic team get so few calls. Its actually amazing

Those 3 factors in GS v LA combined to produce one of the most lopsidedly officiated series in NBA history

  2. Hey Jason, kind of a general q but curious how you see this show in the overall hoops analyst ecosystem (ie JJ’s or other players pods, mainstream like first take, etc)?

  3. I’m not gonna make excuses, I just wanna beat the lakers so we can shit on that fan base once again like we’re supposed to.

  4. Honestly I was expecting a disparity in free-throws and I did expect one game where the disparity was ridiculous. I just didn’t expect to get 4 games where it was ridiculous. The disparity even if you bring into account the rankings when it come to FT differential was ridiculous. Sorry Jason, but I’ve spent too much time learning how to trend and interpret data to not be able to recognize outliers. That being said I doubt the warriors will have 4 games where the disparity is 15+ in a single series again and it has nothing to do with the refs.
    1. Much as I like JP he was the biggest contributor to the warriors foul calls either by his actions or the other players trying to overcome his inaction.
    2. Teams are going to be more dialed into Austin Reaves. So I think they will be able to counter some of his foul bating. Things like staying on the ground, reaching less, and letting him do that weird back arch awkward behind the head push shot he likes that doesn’t ever go in all he wants.
    3. For all the bragging about the improvements the lakers did they didn’t get that much better at three point shooting so I expect defenses to concede the 3 point line more and be set up to take on charges and drives.

  5. This New Warriors Team Looking Way Better From Last Season. (In My Opinion)

  6. If you look at the series 2 games were blowouts for each team and the two extra games the Lakers won by a posession or two. Even with the free throw disparity that series could’ve gone either way. Let’s not act like the Lakers ran through the Warriors.

  7. Imagine if refs call those games more fair..it seems like Lakers were trying to get fouls/fts every game…that's why it didn't really work vs top notch hungry team like the Nuggets. Playoffs is more intense and physical yet Warriors barely get calls even vs the Kings too. Now that the Warriors are hungrier and have depth pieces its a whole different ball game now. Dont forget without Poole who is a huge distraction to the team will make this team gel easier than last year. People brag too much of offseason signing yes some decent pieces but many teams as well. Dont forget they need 3 point shooting and they barely got any. Yes, they attack the basket and score a lot inside that's why its easy to face them like the Nuggets..I mean even the Warriors can play them easier now. Now 3 point shooting in today's league is the biggest problem I say esp with LBJ/AD superstars cant make 3s that much

  8. waarriors fan here, i like how you called out the haters with loser mentality when they were saying that lakers shot more free throws and wiggins rib cage hurt 😂

  9. Lakers lost to Denver because the free throws were even. lol. It’s not hard to figure out. If the free throws were the same as warrior series, Lakers beat nuggets.

  10. I love your analysis. BUT the LAKERS got a free throw stimulus after that fiasco in Boston. They shot SIGNIFICANTLY more free throws compared to other teams. And yes, GSW needs to play better Defense AND protect the BALL.

  11. The funniest thing this guy talks about Lakers are number one in free throws shooter and warriors are last, the warriors have 21 FTA and the Lakers 26 FTA last year so this guy it’s making a case that that should be dispersancy for 30 more free throws a game the lakers. The truth is the NBA want LeBron James to get his 5th ring and Celtics and the lakers in the finals that’s the narrative that the NBA wants, but that blow up faces Lakers got swept and you know the wrong team won the game on the second round. That’s the fact lol

  12. yeah there's no other reason the lakers got the most fouls and hardly ever got called for them, just basketball reasons, I'm sure it had nothing to do with having one of the most legendary whiners of all time on their team bitching about fouls on a nightly basis, the refs are garbage, in the NBA, in the NFL, and in MLB, we need computers calling fouls and penalties, in all major sports leagues, the usefulness of humans is over

  13. let's just be real here, it was the refs and not the LAkeRs. not even making an excuse but that was just the reality of last season post celtics-lakers game lol

  14. As a warrior's fan, I think their run as contenders is finished. They've transitioned into late stage dynasty. You're going to see a LOT of excuses from warrior's fans this season. I was there when the 49ers were a late stage dynasty as well, I'm familiar with the process. I actually think they'll be better this regular season than they were last regular season, but this is a second round exit team, best case scenario, and I think a first round exit is more likely. Fans will make excuses, when the actual problems are staring them in the face: this team is too damn old, too damn slow and too damn small. That's a terrible combination for an NBA team to be.

  15. Lakers have 6 guys on court. 6th being the refs. Even if u breeze past ad foul. Lakers ain't gr8. They just tall. Got punked by nuggets. Even grizzlies could have won had they been focused and not brought thug life to BB. Lastly Adams and that Canadian center was injured so that hurt them too. Then idiots like Brooks poking grandpa LeBron has its consequences too.

  16. soooooo am i the only one who thinks the way he looks in this video reminds me of henry cavill? Must be the hair🤔

  17. You really think making the point that the Lakers leading in those categories mean you’re right about the fouling. The whole entire point is that they get too many calls, a lot they don’t deserve and you bring the point up that they league the entire league only proves the point.

  18. “That is inevitably going to lead to situations on the court where we butt beads”

That’s fine as competitors when you only see each other a handful of times a year, but what happens when they butt heads in the locker room? Wasn’t the lack of team chemistry and camaraderie ultimately the foil to the Warriors season last year, and the reason why they shipped Jordan Poole to Washington? Didn’t Draymond essentially show KD the door in a nationally televised argument on the court?
