The LA Clippers have started Training Camp, and members of the team including Head Coach Ty Lue have emphasized certain aspects they want to improve on and implement this season. Aspects that don’t necessarily align with James Harden’s style of play.

They have been emphasizing pace and defense, which aren’t necessarily ways of describing 34 year old James Harden’s game. He also gives the opposite argument of why some Clipper fans want him.

Harden lead the league in assist last season in Philly. I think Clips have more shooters more options. I thinks he’s and insurance policy in case Kawhi or PG gets hurt. And he’s a high 3 point shooter. I think Harden will step up / level up.
Lakers was trash. Coaching was trash. All shooting no rebounds. Team was so bad only 5 players from that year is still in the NBA.

If the Clippers were to make a trade the perfect addition would be Pascal Siakam. Athleticism and size in the front court with the ability to score. Other than that the Clippers are fine and set to go especially with Kawhi being healthy. The focus needs to be defense and winning habits (limited load management).

Why the F would you trade 2028 and 2030 UNPROTECTED first round picks and Covington, Batum and Mann for Harden? It's like betting your house on 1000-1 odds. The guy grifting you is like "you do it and you'll be set for life!" if he really thinks that's a good bet why is he trying to talk you into the deal, out of the goodness of his heart? Dude, keep your f'ng house.
Simple rule in life: if there is a deal that is predicated on the calculus "hey, the other guy might just be dumb enough to do it" and YOU'RE the other guy, don't do it. It's not that complicated.

I like Harden just because he is a major headache for the opposition on offense.. If he comes in at his best attitude, and Westbrook buying in, Ty Lue should make things work.. Fun season for the Clips if it'll succeed, major blunder if it'll fail.. High risk, high reward.. And at Kawhi and PG's last season? Yeah I'll take the risk..
