Justin Holiday is Harrison Wind’s “MVP of training camp.” He earned high praise from his teammates and coaches throughout the week in San Diego and may just find himself firmly in the team’s rotation on opening night. Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and the starting lineup have looked surprisingly crisp throughout the first week of practices. Meanwhile, Zeke Nnaji and DeAndre Jordan might split duties in Denver’s bench front court.
The DNVR Nuggets Podcast looks at what they’re looking for out of each player in Tuesday’s preseason debut and provides an update on Michael Porter Jr. and Christian Braun.

I know the bench is the bench, and we are all excited, but come on guys. Lets all be honest. For a championship team, our bench is kinda ass. I'm worried about backup center, but not as much as I am worried about backup PG. Then the age factor, experience. I dno.
I think Peyton will be disappointing. Not a write-off by any stretch, but I think he's still going to have all kinds of mental lapses and a hard time securing a solid spot in the rotation. I do expect that to shift as the season rolls on though, at least to some extent.
🤣@40:50 ish D-line starts spazzin out thinking about CB
Don’t disagree about taking solid, developed players in the late-first /early-second and not praying for upside /superstars, just hilarious given how we, you know, drafted jokic
I predict Hunter Tyson and Jalen Pickett to be the 7 and 8 man by the end of the season based on the training camp and their performance for the summer league. I think we are fine for the playoff with current crop of players.
Just shaking my head, the doom and gloom from some of the comments continues on this year! Last year the chatters wanted to trade MPJ and Mal right up until the playoffs, “we can never win a Chip w MPJ’s D and Mal’s inconsistent play” riddled each and every chat! This year it’s gonna be more about PWat and the young bench. Holiday is gonna be a great fit, definitely being undervalued as well as RJ. Just the experience they provide is gonna pay big dividends. And as far as PWat goes, as I have said since we drafted him, will continue to develop all season on a similar path as CB, and be a solid rotation player come the playoffs. Y’all need to relax a little and enjoy the ride!
At this point, we should trade out of any lottery picks for like the next decade lol.
