The ultimate nerd. Refs are needed but also extremely weird people.

    Wow refs fans are here.

  2. ephemeralfugitive

What’s a ref’s pay like here vs SK?

  3. awntawn

Super happy for him and proud of the AAPI representation until he makes a bad call against my team then I want him fired

  4. Kogie13

Shocked that he found New Jersey to be better than South Korea. Even the Nets somehow found a better place than NJ in Brooklyn of all places

Congratulations to him. I look forward to telling him to go fuck himself and implying he is rigging games in a few short weeks.

Wow that’s a lot of work to pursue his dream. Respect

  12. NCHouse

Aye! Hope he has a great career and enjoys the best seat in the house to watch some basketball

  13. ImGonnaChubbBradley

I will love him until he makes a single bad call against my team

  14. Is this the first ever referee in US sports history that needs an H1-B visa sponsorship? lol

  15. dizzyaha

Does he still need to serve in the military?

What an incredible story of dedication and passion!

Congrats to him for achieving his dream! Can’t wait to boo the shit out of this guy when he calls something dumb against my team.

That’s super cool. Don’t let your dreams be dreams or something.

  19. Coronabandkaro

good for him. except for him having to move to new jersey.

Weird this gets a tweet and a Reddit post. Tons of people immigrate to the US to pursue a career and bring their young family with them. It’s not unusual. In fact it’s quite ordinary.

Congratulations to him. The tone of this makes it seem like he is a refugee rather than a dude just immigrating for work, but congrats all the same.

It’d be like saying “The NBA has announced that Victor Wembanyama, who has moved 5,000 miles from France to San Antonio to pursue his basketball career, has been named a member of the Spurs opening night roster for the 2023-24 season.”
