I am sure that this guest is a great guy, and willing to try to answer what were many softball questions. His hinky oral lack of skill, the um, ah, and straight out annoying blocks of silence he needed to make simplistic and obvious observations tempted me to scream at my IPAD “Shut the bejesus up!”
This was hard to listen to….
Not to be rude, but this was a hard listen. Tim was either unprepared or not a suitable guest for such a show. Was really looking forward to hearing Samson's take after the first preseason game but I find myself skipping to sections that I want to hear about and when I do skip, it's not much better and I just finally give up.
I'd never heard it before but I actually really like comparison to the '90s Supersonics. The player-to-player comps don't hold up (Precious or Scottie would have to be at a Giannis level to stand up to Kemp, and Jrue is maybe the only real modern Payton equivalent) but the overall size and defensive floor makes sense to me. If they had the luxury of moving OG to the bench like Detlef Schrempf, a 6th Man trophy would be almost guaranteed, and iirc, Sam Perkins was one of the original stretch bigs, which the Raptors sure could use this season.
I echo everyone else's sentiments, this was hard to listen to lol
