Saw someone say that if they were Jokic’s teammates, they’d be pissed at how out of shape and poorly conditioned he is from the offseason.

Sir, a 500lb Jokic could roll into training camp on a scooter, because he laid in bed and consumed nothing but bread and beer all summer, and his teammates still wouldn’t gaf. They know he basically gifted them a ring last season, and they know he’ll do whatever it takes to do it again next year.

It was a warriors fan, so he’s probably mad Jokic didn’t knock Gillespie out in training camp and ruin the good vibes.

My sinuses are fucked up this morning. 🙁

I predict that the doomers go after KCP this year.

I saw an individual unironically bitching about Malone’s rotations and how he’s too stubborn to move on from Reggie Jackson less than 3 quarters of the way through the first preseason game while Malone wasn’t even in the building.

I just burned some potatoes smh i am such a good chef

Everyone talking about Strawthers shooting, but did anyone watch him on D? Slipping through screens and staying in front of smaller faster guards like it wasn’t even challenging. That’s what had me pumped up, if he can’t play D Malone isn’t playing him.

Also Hunner is dense. Watanabe tried to lower his shoulder into him and bounced right off 😂

And Pickett’s first possession he keeps it at the top of the floor, back to the basket while directing the other players on what to do, not letting anyone speed him up.

It’s all beautiful. Hunter will get his points, but they all had moments that really were exciting/hopeful.

Also, I’m a fan of Justin. Most of his bad plays were actually bad Reggie plays that he was a part of.

I’m still not sold on the piano man.

Mfers were attacking Big Government last night like it was Jan 6th again.

My main takeaway from the game last night:

AG looked so hot in a tank top and bandanna 🥵

Time to panic in my opinion Nuggets only won by 8 with the Suns best players out, honestly that’s not a good look.

I wish there was a serviceable microwave Nashville Hot Chicken sando that i could do for brekkie. Sometimes i crave that hot chicken first thing in the morning and burritos dont always cut it.

So Jerry Jeudy seems like a sucky dude, huh

  13. Bol getting worked by Zeke was pretty hilarious

As someone who was decently high on Kung Julian after the draft, I was even pleasantly surprised by last night.

I still have some concerns on defense, like we really didn’t see him get lost when away from the action because he was closer to it last night, and his defensive stance was better last night for longer stretches. But it was good to see him locked in a little better defensively, and hopefully, he can continue to practice in these areas so they can be sustained habits.

His lightning quick release on set shots and the little running floater were always the most likely skills of his to transition quickly, and it was great to see that in live game action.

  15. People who follow the Avs here, how are we feeling? Glad most of the core is healthy but I’m not feeling too great given the goalie situation. Only thing that worries me about making a deep run again

Kinda funny how people say Dallas didn’t care or whatever

Meanwhile Real has to go to Istanbul tomorrow and still beat them yesterday

  17. Bradleys_Chubb

Anyone here play Warzone, specifically Resurgence? That new Doom shotgun suuuuucks

  19. Looking at my over/under picks from last year and I like to sketch out what I think everyone’s offensive and defensive ratings will be and last year I was 9 points off on the Kings. 9. Lol. Their offensive rating went up 9.5 points over the previous year with largely the same players but a full year of Sabonis. Pretty crazy jump.

My worst guesses on defense were the Spurs and Golden State who were both 6 points worse than I expected. Though, league average scoring went up 2.4 points which is inflating all of these numbers

Zeke looked great yesterday. He appears to have made some strides in knowing how to use his combination of size and speed on the offensive end. Very active.

There’s basketball talk in my off-season thread

Apparently KCP wore 361’s last night, even though he wore Nike’s at media day. Wonder if he’s between deals or if he has a new one.

I also thought Tyson and Pickett looked quite a bit behind Strawther on the curve of learning how to play in the NBA. Even if you write off Tyson’s shooting as bad luck or whatever, they definitely seem farther away from contributing, despite the hype during the summer.

It’s not to say they can’t get there. But I am extremely pessimistic on either of them contributing this season. Strawther seems like a coin flip.
