I believe the GM’s are right if Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum plays hard on defense. We know White and Holiday will play defense. The question mark is Tatum and Brown. Will they playas hard on defense as they play on offense. We don’t need neither them to score amount because the have White, Holiday, and KP who can score the basketball. We need Tatum and Brown to play consistent man defense. Be a stopper on defense

I'm not a big fan of Tatum, but last year in the first half of the season, he was the best player in the league, I wonder what happened to him in the second half of the season where his play dropped dramatically compared to how he was playing in the first half of the season. I hope that Mazzulla changes the way that they play, Tatum and Brown should post up more and both should use their midrange game more often.

Celtics keep losing in the ECF because we have no scrappy players. The team is too soft. That’s Miami has success Vs the Cs because they’re the exact opposite kind of team with great coaching.. the most scrappy i seen this team is with Ime and they went to the finals and also Tatums rookie year they went game 7 in the ECF with all young guys. It was a high toughness on that team with guys like Smart Morris Rozier .. it’s not one scrappy player on this roster. grant tried to do it last year vs jimmy we seen it didn’t work because he’s not that kind of player
IMHO, Tatum has to put a team on his back(and win a 'chip') and be more consistent before he can be seriously considered the MVP.. John, you also made a great point, that he also needs to make his teammates better!

Boy it really sounds like league GM's are the "clueless club". Do these guys actually get paid? No wonder there are only 6 or 7 competently run teams out of 30. Mazulla a top defensive coach😂? Only at his press conferences. Team last year looked like they didnt practice defense at all. Talking about TEAM defense now. They were the best under Ime a shadow of themselves defensively under Mazulla. Last years defense was clearly from memory from the year before. Agree w you about Tatum. Frustrating thing about JT is his performance is good but ppl who dont watch him regularly dont understand how HIGH his CEILING is.

No wonder fake coach Mazulla was threatened by real deal Marcus. There was a mich better basketball mind sitting on his own bench and playing in the games. Showing him up. Not intentionally but given how insecure Joe is. Im just still mad that tge Celtics kept Mazulla and lost Marcus. Even if they lost the deal for Porzingas whos really good – all they had to do was keep their same roster and hire a grown up to coach and they already had a championship team. Frank Vogel, Nick Nurse, Mike Budenholzer, Doc Rivers Monty Williams and prbly a dozen other guys ive never heard of were out there ANY ONE of them could have coached this team to a championship WITHOUT needing a Porzingas or Holliday- just the way they were. If the Celtics manage to win this year it will be for the same reason as they did whatever they did last year it will be because of tge the players and IN SPITE of the coach not because of him

I get emotional about players and trades but even when it hurts I trust in Brad. As a coach and GM, he is on the cutting edge and controls as much as can be controlled.
Well, I also think it's worth pointing out there were two Boston Dannys: pre-Winslow and post-Winslow.
Brad is a fine balance: he's willing to pay a price… but only for what he KNOWS he wants. He has convictions about certain players and what they're worth, and he just does it.
I have a very special feeling. The same feeling I had in 2008. I’m so glad they got rid of Grant Williams, and we got Brissett and Stevens.
