the bench should be Dick/GTJ/Boucher/McDaniels/Precious.
you split the PG minutes with Schroder/Scottie
the rest of the players will play occasionally based on health (Otto, Thad, Koloko), and then you have the others who play in garbage time
It will be very interesting to see how this affects the development of some of the players. I really feel like Precious (as well as Koloko had he stayed healthy) will benefit from a more consistent role.
I don’t want to overreact after one game, but I’m worried about the back-up PG spot. I’m most hopeful for Dowtin, because neither Malachi or Nowell looked ready last game.

Yea hopefully it’s weighted according to who needs the developmental reps. Trent, dick, and precious at minimum need to play (why fire nurse and then bury them again). Then between the boucher McDaniels Flynn Otto group you can be flexible for the last 2 spots. I’d be surprised if that 10th or even 9th man is playing a significant amount of minutes

OG – Dick – McDaniels
Siakam – Achiuwa – Boucher
Poeltl – Koloko
That’s 13 right there. That’s also not including Thaddeus or Garrett
I feel like the raptors bench might actually be exciting this year
not hard to beat the excitement level after the past 2 years lol
So Schroder-OG-Scottie-Pascal-Poeltl starting
GTJ and Precious sound like locks coming off the bench. Then you’re splitting 3 spots for Otto, McDaniels, Flynn, Boucher and Dick.
I just don’t see a world where we can have Flynn in the rotation over McDaniels, Otto or Boucher. Dick may start the year out of the rotation but he’ll need to be worked in eventually. It’s not like the bench is where our shooting is bad and we need Flynn because of it. We’ve got GTJ and Otto who are good, and McDaniels (and to a lesser extent Boucher and Precious) who can hit 3s.
I say GTJ-McDaniels-Otto-Boucher-Precious is what we’ll be running until Dick is ready. I don’t see it being a bench mob situation where they are all playing though.
