Ideal fit. Hope it works out. His defensive iq and effort is a nice surprise. If he can shoot 37% from 3, that would be spectacular.
Duarte was good in this game
I still believe Duarte is Kevin Huerter insurance in case of injury or trade. He is also another option (OPTIONALITY!) at SF or to close games for Mike Brown to use.
Monte flirted with trading for OG Anunoby this past summer and he knows which players he offered for OG. Feels like Huerter was in those trade proposals due to skill and salary matching. If Duarte keeps playing well and Huerter is traded, then Duarte is a great backup option who can keep Malik Monk in the 6th man role he thrives in.
Weak side defense is tricky to balance helping and not leaving someone with too much time for wide open corner 3's, guess it's situational or people need to rotate
