Some of the folks here almost vilified the kid for not matching expectations but couldn’t understand that there are many reasons why Wise just didn’t fit with us.
Hopefully both him and Poole get their recognitions in their new teams.

Caught some of the 2nd half, he was actually setting real screens and better at contesting for rebounds. He’s a lot better when he lets the game come to him vs forcing the issue. Still uber raw though, and wishing him the best in Detroit.

I watched second half after coming back from work. I’m rooting for him but wasn’t really that different from the end of last year despite what the stats imply. He’s setting better screens but he still doesn’t quite seem to grasp where to be and was still calling for the ball while badly positioned. He’s definitely continuing to improve though (rebounds! screens, and saw him get into some sets) so I’m hoping that he gets a full year of good playing time and again see an improvement. Definitely would not have been able to contribute this year though.
