No offense but Thibs got this season to get us to the ECF, if we donā€™t make the playoffs OR fall in the first round Iā€™d say he did his best but itā€™d be time for him to go. We need to get JJ Reddick, mfer lives in DUMBO anyway.

Knicks Twitter would absolutely lose their minds

    Do it. Sign away.

We finally have stability, repeated playoff appearances, and have built a culture where players actually enjoy being here. Heā€™s not perfect but come on. This obsession with finding the new shiny object needs to fucking stop.

  4. Extend that man. I’ve seen too many shitty coaches to know what a good one looks like. He’s not perfect but he has us playing competitive. Our FO is the one that needs to make some moves to get us over the hump.

There doesnā€™t need to be a case made. Most successful 3 year run in a decade, with the most promising collection of young players/picks in multiple decades still in tow.

Would be completely idiotic not to bring him back, thankfully I think weā€™ll extend him.

I donā€™t know how to feel anymore. I think having the coach players would least like to play for (according to a poll involving over 100 NBA players) is a major issue. But heā€™s obviously a great coach.

Two years ago I would have said let him go. The results speak for themselves, though. He led us to a second round berth and a fifth seed. Heā€™s stubborn, mean, and can be alienating; but damn if he isnā€™t a regular season winner.

Why link to a Twitter post linking to the actual article? Just link the article.

Heā€™s a good coach but I view Thibs has our Mark Jackson to the Warriors where he set the foundation personally Iā€™d role with Johnnie Bryant who has been groomed and came from the Quin Synder coaching tree. More than anything I want to see more from us offensively in terms of scheme vs this heavy iso offense we go and a coach who embraces small ball more. I think the stability is in the coaching but more importantly in the FO which has always been the issue. Iā€™d rather move Thibs into the FO

The day we say ā€œWe have talent but are underachievingā€ thatā€™s the day Iā€™ll say we need a coach.
