Barrett has been a disappointment. His 18 – 20 ppg is not enough for a number 3 draft pick who just completed his 4th year. And consistency is not his only problem. The guy is not efficient.
Forget the Bleacher Report article for a minute, which dealt with his performance last year. Let's go back to the 2021 – 2022 season; No volume scorer in the paint was as inefficient, 46.2% (min 500 FGA). As Clyde said in 2022, "it's as if the closer he gets to the hoop, the worst he shoots." In addition that same year, he was also the least efficient corner man in the NBA shooting 31.2% (min 100 FGA).
Barrett deserves his starting role on the Knicks but he hasn't lived up to the expectations of what a number 3 draft pick should give you in any of his first 4 years. Let's hope he makes a leap for the better in this, his 5th season.
Why are we comparing him to guys that went before him lol makes no sense..no one at the time of the draft thought he was as good as zion or ja..whats the point

Bullcrap Troy. RJ has been a terrible defender and terrible ball handler. Turnovercqueen title for zknicks. Grimes is a better shooter and defender than RJ when he plays 20 or more minutes a game. The stats prove what I am saying.
