Only way this benefits cam thomas is that he starts at SG over dinwiddie
Mikal came out with the mentality like he was gonna shoot himself back into form no matter what taking twice as many shots as the nearest Net. Missed the first few and looked like having another bad one but kept shooting like he wasn't going to let Cam nor anyone else outscore him again. Cam on the other hand had an unusually quiet game by his standards – 7 points in 20 minutes with just everyone else outscoring him – how often do you see that – like never? Could be just an off night or him still adjusting to playing with the starters and figuring out when to go and when to pass. Also wondering if JV pulling him in that first game after hitting 3 consecutive 3's may have played on his mind despite no obvious animosity between the two after the game. JV even offered words of praise but it could have been just a cover up. Some also point out the decision was to mitigate injury but it nonetheless was very ill timed and could easily send the wrong message. Expecting a rebound next game.

In all actuality Cam Thomas plays good with Ben off ball and on ball little fun fact for you – and he will probably be the sixth man and that will benefit him the most coming off the bench wants the second unit comes in. The only other score in there is Lonnie Walker

People need to chill. No one's ever heard of the maccabi raanana let alone played against them. Facts are thomas played an amazing first preseason game matched against way better NBA quality opposition putting up an effortless 26 on 64/57/100 shooting on just 22mins. I'm excited for the next game against Philly who should provide another real good test for our team.
It was pretty damn obvious during the Net's game vs Israel that the objective was to have the players pass the ball mostly to Bridges and not to Thomas or any of the other players; while letting Ben do his thing.(By the way, Ben was very complicit with this designed strategy ; which no doubt came courtesy of JV). Bridges is the ONE they REALLY wanna push, period!! This is the reason why Cam Thomas was QUICKLY pulled out vs the Lakers when he he was on a roll. See, for JV to save face he put Thomas in the starting line and to put an end to all that criticism. BIG MISTAKE!!
Even if Thomas plays GREAT defense and score a A TON he won't get the opportunity to start; especially if Cam Johnson comes back. JV won't have any justification to be benching Thomas when he's scoring more than any other Net. Thus, all that BUNCH OF CRAP NONSENSE that he said that you HAVE TO EARN your spot is just probably a BIG FAT LIE!! And considering the fact that Cam Thomas just broke the NBA record last season as the BEST Net performance probably of ALL TIME- you must ask yourself what MORE does he has to proof?
See, what really get' s me seething with pure anger is that we haven't YET seen the best of Cam Thomas. He will continue to improve and will get much better than the Thomas we saw last year at his BEST. That would give any fan something to really look forward to- as he develop his game before our own eyes. Moreover, what also ticks me off so much is the fact that NO person SHOULD have this level of control over the career of any player. You feel that Cam must, somehow, beg for minutes- when he had EARN his spot, and he is that good.
Conclusion: Zebra NEVER change its stripes; which means that I don't trust JV as far as I can throw him. I really don't believe a word he says!!
Half of Ben’s game is deception based, using his speed and height to find high IQ dimes to advantage if we are ready. If we can use his pace to attack through solid disruptive defensive pressure, we are set for a fun year. Defensive based aggression will win plenty of games.
