Nuggets general manager Calvin Booth explains why he traded Bones Hyland
“I knew you couldn’t have two guys that couldn’t guard, and we couldn’t have two guys that were young and kind of more ‘me guys.’ Mike makes $30 million. He’s one of the best shooters in the NBA. So, Bones, there’s no place for you.”

Based Calvin.
Mike can defend now though.
And he’s also far less of a “me guy” than before
Really sucks because I think Bones was a great addition at the wrong time. Ya he’s an immature tool but he’s also still a kid. If he was drafted by Denver this year or next, I think both parties would’ve benefitted much more.
Although it wasn’t planned this way, but the type of GM Calvin is, has really come at the perfect time for the situation the Nuggets currently are. Connelly first got the maximum amount of talent on the team, Calvin built the right team with the perfect type of role players.
