[O’Connor] One of Booth’s first moves was to trade Bones Hyland. “I knew you couldn’t have two guys that couldn’t guard, and we couldn’t have 2 guys that were young & kind of more ‘me guys’” Booth said. “Mike makes $30 million. He’s one of the best shooters. So, Bones, there’s no place for you.”

That’s a crazy statement to make as the GM LMAO

It will be great to see Bones prove all the idiots wrong

Makes sense and no one should take offense at this. Bones was (and still is) really raw and the contending nuggets didn’t have time to deal with that.

Bones has shown flashes of what he can do while also showing some of the bad habits that the nuggets didn’t want to deal with. He’s been doing a fantastic job driving and putting pressure on the rim, but he often gets stuck and throws up a hail mary instead of finding an outlet. He really just needs to slow things down a bit and only turn on the thrusters when he needs it.

This team is trying to do what the nuggets pulled off last year, so if Bones can’t put it together he’s going to find himself on another team once again.

There’s a place for him here. He ended up where he always should have been.
