Karl-Anthony Towns had the most disappointing all-around season of his career last year for the Minnesota Timberwolves. But despite struggling early in the season and injuries limiting him to just 29 regular-season games overall, KAT actually shot the ball well after returning from the calf injury. My wish is that leaves that cursed team as fast he can.
there is a defensive laziness to his game….
it shows in his rebounding, his fouling, and his lack of effort to get down the court after a made basket (much less a miss)
lets be real it would be a big adjustment for anybody from going to the only center on the floor to sharing the floor with Gobert. Stagger the minutes, they need to share the floor together as little as possible. Success for KAT is 20 ppg and not being a total liability on defense. He has moments where his passing wows me so hopefully we see his assist numbers up
The reality is when KAT is on the floor you are going to be sacrificing defense for offense. Yes you will be able to score points but KAT is not going to play great lock down defense and protect the rim or keep up with anyone out on the perimeter. That's why they wanted Rudy. He's not that bad at rebounding, but he needs to be better. Guy has to at least try to have nightly production where he grabs 15 rebounds. They have 2 7 footers on the team. That has to improve.
Karl Anthony Towns is what he is a offense only player who makes bad decisions at crucial times of the game and can't be trusted to have the ball in his hands when the game is on the line other than that he's great !
Honestly, the way KAT has been playing in the preseason, if he can prolong that in the regular season, the Twolves can make it far. He's been playing mature and discipline. He's taking advantage of his size when needed to, not making mistakes, and playing defense right.
