What do you even do with Malachi Flynn at this point? He’s clearly not a rotation player and was easily the worst player on the floor (shoutout to Thad who was almost as bad).

It’s been several years now that the backup PG position hasn’t been addressed and now we’re left with no choice but to rely on a G League level player to play rotation minutes. Very frustrating situation.

  2. UjiriWatcher

Looking at the contracts, Jeff dowtin is getting cut

  3. haley_the_comet

Gotta find someone who believes in you as much as Darko believes in his bench

  4. TradingPokemonSWSH

Let it be known that I was not high on Dalano Banton whatsoever

But the fact that Malachi Flynn outlasted him (and has been on this team for this long) is criminal.

No excuse for Flynn minutes when you have Dowtin and JFL on your team. I can understand Thad if you don’t want to play Scottie or Siakam at the 5 but you have two much better options for backup pg spots.

  6. ThunderGunMD

Really liked what I saw from Scottie and Pascal. Gonna try to not get too excited lol.

  7. GrimKaiker

GTJ with 4 assists is the lowkey stat of the game.

  8. Team has been looking good this pre season. Obviously it doesn’t mean much, but the new system seems to really play to the teams unique strengths much better than what Nurse ran. Scottie looking confident and dangerous out there too. Really looking forward for the regular season to start. I think the Raptors are going to surprise some people

  9. Nice win given no center and Malachi doing… whatever the fuck that was. Scottie and Pascal looked great, Dick was pretty good, rough one from Jalen but he was also put in some tight spots. I continue to like Gueye and I’d love to give him Ron’s spot. Chicago should not be feeling very good about that one.

I’m sorry, but why is Flynn getting minutes over Dowtin? What am I missing, Jeff looks like an NBA caliber backup PG every time he steps on the court.

  11. ReliableNet

I think this team is playing way more attractive basketball, but our guard talent is so lacking it kind of hurts. GTJ, Schroder, and Malachi being our rotation guards is depressing and I hope we can address that ASAP

  12. Flynn reverted back to his Red VanVleet persona.

Just hero ball and making absolutely horrid drives and plays.

I don’t get it. It looked like Nurse’s plays instead of Darko’s.

  13. So yes Barnes looked great again. The shot is looking smooth and he’s involved and aggressive in every play. His defense has been fantastic especially as a help defender. But can we give some praise to Gary. Dude had a bunch of turnovers the last couple of games only because he was trying to make the right pass. Today it looked like it clicked. He was moving the ball well not just looking for his shot and he ended up diming up his teammates a few times.

You know what time it is. Get the championship parade started.

Really pleased with the defensive changes so far, what a difference how much easier it is to contain Demar when you aren’t prioritizing turnover generation and you can just let OG stay in front. Pretty inexcusable in the past considering you had Demar on the team all those years, should be familiar with his game. At the same time Toronto was able to generate turnovers without compromising their point of attack defense. Finally, those defensive changes were a big part of the massive free throw discrepancy

  16. BurzyGuerrero

The duo of Siakam and Barnes tonight

    Siakam 22pts 5reb 3stls 8/11 2/5 from 3

    Barnes 22pts 3ast 6reb 2stl 4blk 8/14 2/3 from 3,

YOU CANT TEACH NON SHOOTERS TO SHOOT

  17. BurzyGuerrero

Gradey Dicks 3 with 3 minutes left was the ice cold shooting we haven’t ever had. Other than that one time.

    He also got fouled.

  18. BayesBestFriend

OG going to be fiending for a trade if those are all the shot attempts he gets in that many minutes.
