I said this in the game thread but the big thing is, the game looks easy to Barnes during this whole preseason. He’s able to get the shot he wants and he’s making them. Directing where guys need to be.
Felt like he was frustrated a lot last year not being allowed to speak up and direct where guys need to be because he was a younger player and not getting the ball at his spots.

The one thing I’ve noticed is how he looks way more deliberate in his movements, last year he kinda meandered on the court sometimes

Had a great run playing the centre role on offense. May be worth a look even with Precious back, Scottie centre on offense and Precious centre on defense for a bench unit

His defense, I’m assuming partly because preseason and partly because conditioning looks great as well. I guess it is a function of a system where you don’t have to expend as much energy on defense.

Nurse really had this guy in MCW talks, free of the mans shackles

His conditioning sure has jumped a level. He’s playing high intensity sprinting around the floor and being impactful every time

all this point guard talk when all his best skills come when he’s playing the 4/5.

The key is how assertive he’s playing offense. If he keeps that going through the season he’ll have a very good year
