I looked it up yesterday.
The year of the trade, with no Ben Simmons, starting Thybulle and Seth with Shake, Niang, Drummond, and Danny as the bench the Sixers were 33-22. That’s a 49 win pace.
This team seems to be better than that so if Harden just wants to sit at home, fine. It’s not ideal, but I think the Sixers can weather the storm longer than Harden can not show up.

Doesn’t make a ton of sense to me. Him showing up, not causing any drama was seemingly good for his value and helped his cause to be traded. If he reverts back to being a headache, there’s no way the clippers raise their offer, thus meaning a decreased likelihood of being traded.

The dude way overestimates his importance. The Sixers have been prepared for this for months, as have the fans. If Morey cared that much, he would’ve traded him by now. The fans surely don’t care. Everyone is prepared to continue on just fine without Harden present. Which is why I wouldn’t be surprised if his camp knew that and showing up was a tactic to get everyone thinking he was going to be here and then pull the rug out from everyone. It’s not going to work. Which is why I suspect once he figures that out, his next tactic is going to be to show up and play but give absolutely no effort to try to cause issues within the locker room.
