Look at who he’s on the floor with LOL. There’s a reason Evan played better in the two previous games. Like I’m not a fan of the way he handled the situation at times, especially this offseason. But using this preseason game to determine if he will find minutes or not is just slander. Fwiw we all know he’s not going to be included in the 9 man rotation. However he should still find playing time along w McBride and Sims as situations arise…injuries, foul trouble etc. he’s our most seasoned reserve, and still a member of this team until he isn’t.

Sims is a classic case of a kid who doesn’t know how to play. There’s understanding positioning and what to do when you’re around the basket. Sims lacks instincts.With Fournier coming down the lane, his play is to stand just outside the paint along the baseline to give Fournier a target and a chance to pass the ball to him. Instead, he just stands there with his hands by his sides without offering a target.
I know it’s a cliche, but the kid doesn’t know how to play. You don’t remedy something like that. In a dozen or so years of playing basketball as a big, you haven’t learned how to properly sit down on the baseline, set a target, act like you’re ready for a pass by shifting your body at Fournier and wait for a pass? That’s high school 💩.
There’s a reason this kid has never been given any type of offensive responsibility in college nor the pros. And there’s also a reason he was drafted at the end of the 2nd round. The NBA really needs to do away with scrub centers. They’re a detriment to the game. Guys like Mitch and Sims are borderline interchangeable. Trash players who can’t do squat on offense except dunk.
