[Wright] NEWS: In the last 48 hours the Clippers were offered James Harden for ONE 1st round pick, ONE pick swap & Terrence Mann & they rejected the offer. This killed all momentum towards a deal getting done & Harden’s disappointment at that result is why he no-showed today.

    >With the Clippers deal now essentially being dead, Harden’s camp is now engaging in an ostensibly desperate PR offensive against the Sixers, lobbying accusations that date back to his time in Brooklyn.

    >James Harden quits on a team & torches them on his way out, Part 3.

Nick doesn’t usually report stuff like this, so a surprise that he “broke” the news here. FYI, Nick picked the sixers to come out of the east last season I believe.

edit: unrelated he also had some takes on the eagles last season: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fETQCUcbTc

Tweet continued: sources tell me Clippers asked if Morey is open to layaway as a form of payment

“Ostensibly desperate” is a great way to describe this whole ordeal

Are the Clippers really trying to gaslight everyone into thinking that Terance Mann is worth all this back and forth? This is about as bad as the Heat pushing Herro like he’s a multi time All-Star. If only Harden could keep his value like Dame.

  5. HoagieTwoFace

Trade him to the magic. They’re suckers.

  6. philly2540

Seems like a fair offer. I can’t imagine the Sixers accepting less. Honestly I think that would be a good deal for the Clippers. Harden is still an excellent player.

  7. Terrance Mann averaged 9/3/2 last season to be fair. He’s basically priceless.

  8. justwantkickz

The clippers clearly do not want James harden

  9. rahbee33

Who is Harden upset with? Morey for overvaluing him or the Clippers for undervaluing him?

  10. WraithTwelve

Holy fuck the clippers are not serious at all lol. They clearly do not want harden very much this is really embarrassing for him.

  11. lilbismyfriend21

I think Harden is mad at the wrong team lol

  12. TheArsenal7

Clippers are not serious then he should be mad at them

  13. Skyyywalker215

LOL! This is like days of our lives. Say what you want about the Sixers, at least they are entertaining year round now. Never a dull moment.

It’s weird, it’s as if Harden made giant assumptions about his worth now and in the future, and they don’t line up with things going on in this universe. It’s almost he really didn’t want to be here and the places he wants to go don’t want him either.

  15. kevinwhackistone

I’m really hoping the Sixers are trying an “alright fine you won’t do it? take Terrence Mann out and out in another first round pick. Done deal”

  16. Kingkern

“The team I want to go to doesn’t value me enough, so I’m going to punish the team I want gone from for it.”

  17. girlfriend_pregnant

I just don’t understand any of this. Is harden under the impression the clippers are gonna give him a max de and go deep into the new horrific luxury tax? It just isn’t happening. Surely he must know this?

  18. Alex_Phillips_

Harden throwing a tantrum is only going to lower his value and make it less likely that he’s traded soon.

  19. ItsLeJiMan

Okay that is nonsensical from the Clippers. Fuck them. I’d rather see Harden rot on the bench and ruin his career over one FRP even if it came to that. This is a guy who played at an All-Star level last year and they don’t wanna trade a bench player for him. Why tf does Harden even wanna play for a franchise that values him so little.
