I don't think they'll be a referendum…we got to where we thought we could go with the previous team, we made a change….we'll see how it goes…

Grant Williams was dead weight; RWilliams wasn’t a serious option; and Smart was erratic, and Brogdon wasnt a high energy guy either. Btw Romeo L. is out of the NBA now (waived by the Jazz).

I can't help but see how much better this offense looks without that fake PG. Feels like we have actual ball players now and not a bunch of clowns.
Team is just flat out better than we were ever since 2008. Only way we lose is injuries. If KP and Jrue are here come playoff time we are going all the way. It’s gonna be like the nuggets run last year just roll through everyone in the playoffs. The East is fairly week, the bucks have coaching problems and players aging and being injured issues. Knicks and cavs are all right but aren’t good enough to beat us in a 7 game series. Only team who has a chance is rly the heat. Spo is a great coach and he can possibly scheme for us but there’s only so much he can scheme for, like last year it was double tatum, force jaylen to go to his weak spots and rely on horford and Marcus to hit wide open shots that they just couldn’t hit. There are just too many guys he has to prepare for and it will be too much for him to be able to handle cause he won’t be able primarily focus on tatum and brown anymore, too many weapons.
Kornet is not good, not sure how Bobby doesn’t see it 😂

The one key that I don't hear anyone saying is that Tatum & Brown are the only two super stars on a championship caliber team to have improved every year. This is the first year that they'll hit their prime, and KP's second at 27…. If the J's take one more leap…. yikes for the league!!
Yes, thank you! Jaylen Brown is a supreme finisher the likes of Kyrie but does not possess his handling or anything else. We keep asking JB to be a ball-handler, playmaker, and distributor. He has Kyrie’s offensive scoring ability with Ben Simmon-esque defensive ability and we ask him to consistently do what he is absolutely horrible at. Why!? Play to their strengths and this team is unstoppable. Everyone keeps talking about 1st and 2nd option bla bla bla. JB is your last option for every possession. Do that and your conversion rate will go through the roof.
Why does Bobby look like somebody stole his bike when they criticize Kornet… he is a limited player and replaceable if they needed. A fringe player at best.
JB is a Klay Thompson from a few years ago. He can be 3&D if you do not ask him to ball handle and distribute. His 3pt% was better before Smart started this nonsense about JB and JT becoming PGs. Smart weaseled his way into the starting lineup claiming that he was a PG and then pushed the responsibility of ball-handling, playmaking and distributing on to everyone else. When he finally got what he wanted even his defense dipped. The Celtics got rid of the people with ulterior motives.
Great podcast. I agree with just about every take. It might be premature but I am ready to lock-in my 8 man rotation of JT, JB, KP, Jrue, White, Horford, PP and Stevens for the playoffs.

Porziņģis had a good rebounding game. he haven't had one in Celtics uniform before this game.
I’m not sure why Bobby is expecting any assist numbers from KP when he’s the guy with the least amount of time on the ball. He definitely can make plays for others but it isn’t necessary for a big who is surrounded by elite playmakers

KP was first in post points last season in the entire league
Wanamaker was the BEST out of all of those guys he made some hustle plays and showed flashes just wasn't consistent as you wanted with his age. Semi had 1 year he had a good 3 & D year but phased out. I believe Dalano and Oshae shall be better than them! this teams needs to build great chemistry!!!
You didn't bring up Brown proves the point that y'all a corn balls
In the last 2 preseason game Jrue has truly showed leadership for this team. He’s communicating and really helping with the cohesion of this group.

The thing with Kornet, if he’s not capable of (or allowed) to shoot and hit 3s, it’s really tough to say he’s a better complimentary piece over Queta at this point
