Outside the big 3, the roster sucks. Nurkic is awful. 2nd round exit.
Nurkic wasnt missing his shots, he was shooting like point blank, the problem was AD was blocking EVERYTHING coming from him. But when AD went out of the game, you could tell a big difference and the Suns just took over when that happened. Lebron is still a very good player, but at this point AD is the main guy not because of his scoring ability, but defensively he changes things for you. He was a monster down low and blocked and changed a lot of shots. You could tell, when he went to the bench all of a sudden Suns players were able to cut to the basket and get easy dunks and layups.
Ish is definitely out. I don’t think he played in any of the preseason games and if he did it wasn’t many minutes
When Durant was traded to the Suns late last season, media was all over it claiming they had to win a ring that year. And Im thinking, how is that possible? He played less then 10 games before the playoffs started on a whole new team, Suns had no bench anymore. I mean, KD was still like a visitor in his own home court because he was still learning to play with Booker, CP3 and the rest of the team. They were learning rotations when playing the Nuggets in the playoffs. They had no bench, Nuggets even purposely forced Durant and Booker to pass to wide open players in the corners in that series, knowing full well the Suns role players couldnt hit anything. One time shots did go down for one of the role players, the Suns won in game 5 at home. Now they have had Durant all off season, all preseason and he looks so much more comfortable. Remember also he was coming off a major injury when he signed with the Suns, was out for multiple weeks before playing, then before playing the home game he badly twists his ankle warming up, costing him to miss even more games. I just dont think media and fans understand how bad it was for the Suns going into the playoffs last year.
One more comment, any details about Beal and his back problem? Is this them just taking precautions? Or will it be an issue all season? Worried about that, last game when he did play he made an amazing drive to the basket. Just juked the defender out of his uniform and made an easy bucket and then stopped and started to walk very slowly and gingerly while holding his lower back. Very concerned about that back issue. Beal is going to be a stud for this team, he is going to be that stop gap of offense when Durant and Booker are having off nights.

Saben lee needs to be waived he is absolutely horrendous and a massive liability when with the ball

A small thing I want to comment on is that Yuta’s last name is pronounced wah-tah-nah-bay, not wah-tah-NAH-bay. In Japanese no parts of a word are emphasized like they are commonly in English.
I know it doesn’t really matter, but like Goran Dragic or Abdel Nader and others from years past, we should get our own players names right.
I dont even bring Ish back on a 2 way contact. He's not that good to be honest and we have enough better role players at this point. I let D.Lee, Bol and Johnson all go and then look at others who got cut and i'm sure they could be a better fit. Bizzy is a good fit and John Wall is out there as well.
