I have to wonder if he’ll actually get a lot of playing time this year

I always thought Zeke could be a dart throw for the Celtics

A potential big who can shoot and switch … Was always confused why he could never crack the rotation for the Nugs

  3. BetweenTheBuzzAndMe

didn’t realize they liked him like that… solid money for him

  4. Fantasy_Ball

I really can’t believe this guy got this lol, he’s been honestly terrible in the NBA

Edit: good for him though and his loved ones, you gotta love seeing players get paid

It honestly baffles my mind how much players get paid these days and how much it has gone up in the past 10 years.

Just for reference Monta Ellis, a player who averaged 20 points per game a decade ago while in his prime signed a 3yr/25mil contract.

Now a player who plays 13 minutes per game and isn’t really contributing to his team gets a contract like that. Really insane.

Hopefully this means he will play ahead of DeAndre Jordan lol.

Good deal for Nnaji. Don’t love it on the nuggets side.

Wow. 8m/year. Kinda steep considering Malone doesn’t play him much.

  9. Some podcast was just talking about what a potential extension for Zeke could look like and they thought that 4 for 40 would be a good deal for the Nuggets. I think it was the Lowe Post. This is solid for both sides but more so the Nuggets.

  10. Imagine if the team never messed with his shooting form

That’s about, or maybe less than a TPMLE level exemption contract over the time frame.

The first year should be about 120%…

Those less than mid level rookie scale extensions are rarer, but there is a reason why both parties agree to them.

I love him, I’m baffled the nuggets haven’t play him more during the years.

  13. But…he barely played last year? Did I miss when he proved he deserved a 2nd contract in the NBA? I hope I’m wrong, but wow.

  14. Just shows you how much the NBA is making. Contracts are gonna go even higher. Good for the players. Get that bag

This guy doesn’t even play. No playoff minutes.

  16. He’s always showed flashes but seems to get hurt just as he’s turning that corner

This is a great deal for both sides. Will either become a solid rotation piece at a reasonable price or salary filler for a future trade if it doesn’t work out.

  18. Pretty poor player all around who cannot really rebound or finish around the rim. The one positive is he can switch 1-5. Nothing I saw in the preseason changed my view of him.

This will go down as a great deal for the Nuggets. Great value in years 2 and 3 of the deal when the second apron crunch starts hurting for real. If he can be a solid, switchable backup big by then, you are coming out ahead. The shooting upside is gravy

If he’s apart of our playoff rotation and can fill the Jeff green role this is a good deal.

Whenever i think of zeke I’m just mad the nuggets thought they needed to rework his shot and he went from a elite spot shooter to non shooter. Most ridiculous thing possible

Will be traded at the deadline for a vet that can actually contribute.

  22. Shepher27

Why would he agree to this? If he has a good year he could potentially have gotten money near the mid-level next year
