Happy for Zach and happy for San Antonio! Perfect big next to Wemby

Damn good for him, glad to see him overcoming his injuries to finally get the bag

Hell yeah! Expecting big things out of Zach next to wemby

  4. Damn good deal for the Spurs.

Really surprised he accepted only two years.

Wish we held onto him. Would have fixed a lot of issues last year.

Always nice to see a player come back from injuries, that honestly could’ve ended his career, and make life changing money.

Well deserved too, I know it was a weird season, but I tought he completly outplayed Poeltl last year

  7. If he can stay healthy, that’s a decent contract. If he can’t, it’ll expire after next season, no harm no foul. Solid deal IMO

We have the Same birthday, I was so high on him

  9. In what world is Zach Collins worth $15 Million a year. Get that bag my guy, damn.

If Collins stays healthy the contract will be fine, reminds me how folks clowned on the Cavs for what they gave Markkanen a few years back.

With that said, it’s wild how quickly these contracts have jumped where the “worst contract” types from just a year or so ago just kind of blend in now.

A lot of people did not watch the spurs last year I’m realizing

  12. Nnaji for 4/32 is a horrible contract yet injury prone collins at 2/35 is a bargain lol

  13. Nice deal! Fair for both sides, Zach looks like a perfect fit next to Wemby so far

“FUCK YOU, HOE” Love this rascal on our team with Sochan.

  15. That’s fine, especially since it’s just 2 years. They will not be a contender in the next 3 seasons, so they have planty of time to see how Wemby fits next to another center

Why does Woj keep posting the agents and agency? Well we know why. But it’s sad how he became a mouthpiece. Doesn’t even have an own opinion anymore.

Solid deal he was playing really well to finish out the season and he’s carried that over to the preseason.

Hope Zach really shows out this year. It was devastating when he couldn’t play in the bubble with a surprise ankle issue.

  19. Man NBA money is insane. Not saying undeserved or anything but in terms of money NBA probably biggest sporting success ever

while there are obviously many centers who are better overall players than collins, there aren’t that many who give what the spurs are looking for in a center to play alongside wemby

    1) the ability to provide spacing… be able to hit 3’s and be a plus passer

    2) the ability score in the post and abuse switches/mismatches down low

    3) having the requisite strength/toughness to be able to bang with centers, allowing wemby to defend more on the perimeter

to be clear, there are guys that can do this, but they’re mostly unobtainable players like embiid, jokic, sabonis, or even brook lopez. myles turner is close, but he’s not as skilled in the post as collins

collins does have his flaws. he’s a meh rebounder, not a great rim protector, and not a good enough scorer to run an offense through, but those are not things the spurs are necessarily needing out of a center. he checks the boxes of what they need, and is a 25 year old player coming off by far the best year of his career with an upward trajectory

it’s funny scrolling and seeing all the blazers flairs who are all, *”man, i knew he could do it! just needed to stay healthy!”*

when in reality the vast majority of blazers fans hated zach’s game and was happy to see him leave. there were a few of us who understood why his game was so valuable, but were downvoted into oblivion for not joining the “shit on zach” extravaganza.

just watch, you’re gonna see it with nurkic this year too. dude’s gonna rock out with his cock out over in phoenix and blazers fans are gonna pretend that they weren’t trying to trade him away along with a first round pick for an expiring contract.

He’s only 25, so if he balls out during this contract he has a good shot at one big deal at the end of this too. Good for him, there were pretty low expectations on him coming to us and he’s been an absolute baller.

He is really good, injuries fucked him in portland, but hes a legit great player
