Not unless he changes his name to cause me less confusion.

Absolutely. Him, Blake and dom in Austin would be a lot of fun

Speaking of johnson, the spurs should probably do a gorgui dieng and re-sign stanley johnson. His defensive tenacity and just his general hustle and energy would work well with the bench unit. I thought he was let go under the premise that the spurs wanted to commit to tanking and have a contender pick him up. That sadly never happened for him.
His stats with us were actually decent: 5.8ppg/3.2rpg/2.2apg on .533/.450/.667 splits for in 16 mpg. Perfect role player stats

He’s already had 3 teams pass on him so I’m thinking he’s not very good

I’d give him a shot. Sure he’s been passed on by a few teams now but Portland and Phoenix aren’t exactly known for their player development. He’s still only 21 and fits the mold of athletic point guard that could potentially have a high upside for us.

He’s not a ball handler. He’s a shooter with a shot that has not translated well from college to the pros. With weak defense. I don’t see the upside. He would never get minutes on the Spurs even on a two way.
