If it’s max or wait until RFA do guys go for it?

Tim Connelly always pays his young guys. If there is 5-10 M difference per 5 years they will get this done today. If Duffy wants max or near max I don’t mind it going into the next summer – rival teams cannot offer McDaniels as much as the Wolves can anyway, something that happened wit Ayton a year ago. McDaniels’ max offer sheet would be around ~165 M / 4 years.

Frustrated should be him punching the wall

  4. So long as there are no hard feelings if it goes into RFA, I think it makes sense to wait.

Connelly has shown a good amount of patience with other extension decisions (DLo,Naz) so I don’t see this one playing out differently.

  5. There aren’t many cap teams next year, but I do think someone will make a big offer to Jaden. I’d rather the Wolves be able to set the terms of the contract rather then hoping some other teams poison pill terms aren’t too onerous for the Wolves to match.

One thing I was curious about, is it possible to offer him an extension once the season ends but before free agency starts like the Naz extension?
