[HoopsHype] Poole’s trash talk grated on his veteran teammates, who felt he hadn’t earned the right to be brash, even though his style seemed to match the mindset that fueled the start of Golden State’s run a decade ago.

I mean he had a really nice season and contributed to a championship and got paid. How many rings do they think you need before you’re able to talk shit?

  2. SquimJim

Pretty sure Draymond just gets grated easily. He had issues with Kevin Durant too and you don’t think Durant “earned” it

  3. Rentsdueguys

Some people talk, some people jump punch.

I am getting very concerned about Warriors as an organisation now. From trying to cover up the assault to trying to defame Poole ( a guy who isn’t even fighting back and getting on with his career).

I love Steph but damn warriors seem shady af.

Why is this still a thing? Just let us tank in peace.

It’s funny to imagine Klay acting like your father telling you not to act like you’re all that after winning the state fair prize

  7. Sheedish

Rookie Draymond Green was trash talking Lebron.

  8. johnjohnjohn93

Think it was maybe that Poole was trash talking his own teammates and acting like he was the star. Young warriors trash talked on other teams but they seemed together. Kind of seemed more like his talk was all about him.

What did I miss? Why are we getting daily hate threads for Poole?

  10. DeeezNets

A clear case of the older guys not wanting to truly accept the new guy on the same level (understandable), and a young guy taking exception with that, having proven himself in a championship run (understandable). This is why the two timelines plan rarely works: ego.

why are they still doing hit pieces on this man. let him cook in peace

  12. mnight84

Only Draymond can talk trash and act like an asshole on golden State, if you are a young guy your job is to shut up and bow down to your veteran teammates, and even if you get knocked out by your veteran teammate, you should apologize to him for hurting his hand for punching you in the face. How dare you become a distraction to the team or get upset about getting punched out, this is about winning championships and Draymond getting a nice new big money contract not your hurt feelings,

  13. junker359

Man, remember at the end of the season when Kerr went on Draymond’s podcast to complain about how selfish the young guys on the team were?

  14. dimechimes

They couldn’t handle the taste of their own toxicity.

  15. Atl-Fan_FTS

Kind of glad this dude took a falcon punch to the face

  16. JimBeefLakeMonster

Draymond gatekeeping being an asshole lol

  17. ApoliticalAth3ist

Why are we still getting these? Why are they still trying to slander him after he was a big reason they won their last ring?

  18. hossbonaventure15

I think it’s at least possible that perhaps a bunch of championship winning veterans weren’t crazy about being shit-talked by JR Smith junior

  19. Basketballknower

It is wild how hypocritical Green comes across in some of these stories.

  20. Ninneveh

Lol, Draymond apparently wasnt one of those veterans and even said that Poole was gonna be alright because he liked that attitude. Until he didnt.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player who was vital for a championship run not even a full two years ago get so much hate. Like they literally won a chip. He hit very tough shots at great efficiency during that run. Now GS and everyone else has turned against him. Honestly I think it’s really entitled on GS fans’ part. Like yeah, he was overpaid, but that’s not what y’all were saying after the chip. U really had people saying he deserved the money over Draymond, which never shoulda been the case. Draymond gets underrated by his own franchise. But the fact that people were calling Poole better after their chip shows that he does have potential and DID contribute to a team that won it all

  22. chewybucket

This just the Draymond/ Klutch propaganda. Sad to see Dray turn into a horrible vet.

  23. drmuffin1080

Wanna know how much winning is important to liking a player’s personality?

Draymond decked Poole. He punched him. Everyone was against Draymond. Everyone was on Poole’s side. But after 1 season of Poole playing like ass, Poole is everyone’s favorite player to hate. GS fans hate him, even tho he just helped them win a title less than two years ago. He was bein called the third splash brother after that chip

    And now everyone hates him.

Trash talkers never take respect into consideration, both earned and unearned

  25. RVAIsTheGreatest

We all know the Big 3 are all talkers to varying degrees. They were trying to make Poole out as “the help” so to speak…you’re the kid brother…know your place. Poole obviously has a high opinion of himself, and was coming off being a big contributor to the Warriors title. I helped you win a title and you’tre still treating me like I’m a kid? The last season and a half I’ve become one of the best young scorers in the league and this is how you value me?

It was never gonna work. Call him arrogant but Poole obviously carries a lot of swag and he’s unashamed of it. He has an alpha dog mentality, and the Vets felt he was encroaching upon their domain. Poole surely has his responsibility in his downfall in Golden State but it really is a story we’ve seen so many times over the years….clashing egos lead to locker room turmoil.

I watched Klay point out his four rings the second someone looked at him the wrong way and Draymond literally punched him for something he said, really not surprised there are people with a frail ego on that team.
